How Kandace Kalin Became A Founder While Raising A Family

The founder of O2 Sports Insurance shares how she balances it all.

It can be tricky to find a balance between your professional and family life, but Kandace Kalin decided to tackle this challenge head-on: by doing everything at once. The entrepreneur, who founded O2 Sports Insurance in the midst of raising her family, is now hoping to inspire others with her story of ambition and resilience.

Kalin appreciated sports from a young age — and even went on to play professionally early in her career. Following her retirement as a professional athlete, she sought out a career path that could offer a similar source of fulfillment for her.

“With a strong sports background,” Kalin says, “I was determined to find a career that would allow me to combine my love for sports with my professional aspirations.” In the beginning, she engaged in different business-related roles prior to realizing her true ambition: venturing out and starting her own sports-related insurance business.

Initially, the idea of starting her own business worried Kalin, but she pressed on: “Once I took that step, I quickly realized the extent of my capabilities and the impact I could make,” she shares. “Since then, I haven’t looked back, and every day, I wake up excited to do what I love, helping athletes and sports enthusiasts protect their passions through O2 Sports Insurance.”

In the midst of growing her business and delivering remarkable service to her clients, Kalin decided to grow an equally important aspect of her life: her family. “I faced this dilemma,” she says. “I always dreamed of running my own business and having a family, so I had to find a way to do both. This realization drove me to work ten times harder to make it happen.”
